VE403 Indoor Semi-Chemical Matting Agent

VE403 indoor semi-chemical matting agent is a new semi-chemical matting agent for indoor polyester-epoxy hybrid powder coatings. It is anti-yellowing, non-fuming, and can achieve stable gloss and fine surface.

VE403 Matting Agent Description

VE403 is a new semi-chemical matting agent for polyester-epoxy hybrid powder coatings. It is anti-yellowing, non-fuming, and can achieve stable gloss and fine surface.

Product Features:

  1. Appearance: White or light yellow powder.
  2. Softening Point: 100-120℃.
  3. Matting Performance: Adding 4% VE403 can obtain a minimum G60° gloss of 3-4%.
  4. Matting Principle: Non-wax, chemical reaction, 1:2 (matting agent:epoxy) epoxy consumption in the formulation.
  5. Coating Surface: Flat and smooth, extremely fine, no yellowing.
  6. Mechanical Property: Impact resistance ±50KG*cm, excellent mechanical property.
  7. Stability: Gloss is almost unchanged at 200±10℃, good storability.
  8. Resin Applicability: Good matting effect in most 50/50 and 60/40 polyester.

VE403 Matting Agent Applicaitons

Used in polyester-epoxy hybrid indoor powder coatings that demand a low film gloss.

Precautions for Product Use

  1. It is recommended to do advanced sample test before bulk production.
  2. The use of accelerator may cause the gloss to rise. Some organic pigments may cause color change before or after curing.
  3. Powder coating configured with VE403 has good storability. But it is recommended to use as soon as possible especially in hot weather in case of any risk caused by long-time storage.
  4. Storage condition: 30℃, one year.
